Nice place. Lots of firewood. But bring earplugs otherwise the airboats will keep you up all night long. The go fishing at night in the shallow waters around this campground.
Let's see .... when we arrived there was a bag of trash exploded all over the campsite, the restrooms were as close to the heat of the sun as you could get, trash all around the lakes edge, the grand finale cam at sundown when the loud drone of millions of gnats decended on the campsite. On a good note the view from campsite 33 is nice.
Located on top of a hill overlooking the river and lake. Clean bathrooms. Concerned caretakers. Ensure safety of all there. Dont take dogs in wild areas around perimeter, because of burrs EVERYWHERE!!
